Project INCREASE – photovoltaic elements on the buildings of the Capital City

The IPA team of the Capital City presented the benefits of the INCREASE project to representatives of domestic companies interested in the innovative technological solutions of the aforementioned project.

The Increase project is funded by the EU Horizon Europe Program and aims to effectively advance the use of integrated photovoltaic elements on buildings and infrastructure.

Increase project manager Branka Knežević said that the project plans to install photovoltaic panels on two buildings owned by the Capital City, namely the building of the Secretariat for Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development, as well as on the public garage on Novaka Miloševa Street.

“By developing these innovative solutions and demonstrating the installation of photovoltaic elements on buildings, better energy efficiency of buildings, functionality, as well as reducing environmental impact,” Knežević emphasized.

Renewable energy expert from Onyx Solar Ismael Antonanzas highlighted the numerous benefits of the project, and pointed out the economic, environmental and functional characteristics of the installed photovoltaic panels.

In the second part of the workshop, Maarjaa Olesk, an analyst from the partner Institute for Baltic Studies in Tartu (Estonia), spoke about possible joint activities with interested project partners.

The quality of the workshop was also contributed by the participation of the companies Sistem MNE, Greener and Biro M, which, through the exchange of knowledge, experiences and good practices, contributed to a constructive discussion and the development of joint solutions.
